In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 16, 2024, No. PF-158 «On measures to further improve the system of qualified personnel training in vocational education and the introduction of international educational programs,» an international educational program will be implemented at the Sirdaryo Polytechnic College in the Sirdaryo District.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a decree on October 16, 2024, titled «On measures to further improve the system of qualified personnel training in vocational education and the introduction of international educational programs.» According to the decree, in order to enhance the quality and appeal of the programs, the BITEK program by Pearson will be implemented as a pilot project in 14 technical schools for 12 qualifications.
It is known that Pearson is a leading international educational organization with 784 centers worldwide, and 90% of its graduates are employed. A separate department for the BITEK program will be organized in each technical school, and its staff, in collaboration with Pearson, will fully coordinate the implementation of the program. Institutions that introduce the BITEK program will be granted full academic independence.
Graduates will be awarded diplomas recognized in 70 countries, and they will also have the opportunity to enter more than 200 foreign universities, which will change students’ perceptions of technical schools and stimulate interest in obtaining high-quality education. In short, the prestige of technical schools will increase.
As a result, graduates will receive diplomas recognized in 70 countries and will have the opportunity to enter more than 200 foreign universities. The number of labor migrants sent to well-paid and qualified jobs in developed countries will also increase.
In this regard, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the Sirdaryo Polytechnic College will plan the admission of students in four professions: metalworking, welding technology and equipment, computer graphics and design operator, and software engineering.
